Arbus Friedlander Winogrand: New Documents, 1967

Arbus Friedlander Winogrand: New Documents, 1967
New Documents (2017)
In 1967, curator John Szarkowski tied together the work of Diane Arbus, Lee Friedlander, and Garry Winogrand--then all fairly unknown--in the exhibition New Documents at the Museum of Modern Art that would change the course of American photography. Published on the 50th anniversary of the landmark exhibition, Arbus Friedlander Winogrand: New Documents, 1967 presents all 94 photographs included in the show, along with a wealth of archival material--all published for the first time--and essays by critic Max Kozloff and curator Sarah Hermanson Meister. Since no catalogue was produced at the time of the original exhibition, the book stands as a sort of long-awaited companion to the show.
