Like a One-Eyed Cat Special Edition (1989)
Published on the occasion of the Friedlander retrospective exhibition at the Seattle Art Museum in 1989, Like A One-Eyed Cat is Friedlander’s first major retrospective monograph, containing work from over a 30-year period, including photographs from Friedlander's previous publications: Self-Portrait, The American Monument, Lee Friedlander: Photographs, Flowers and Trees, Factory Valleys, Lee Friedlander: Portraits, and Cray at Chippewa Falls. The title comes from the blues/rock song, “Shake, Rattle, and Roll,” a favorite of Friedlander’s.
